Sequoia MD started working with MGMT Digital in June of 2023 to enhance their marketing efforts. Sequoia MD sought a marketing partner to assist with web design, SEO, content creation, social media management, and traditional marketing. Their main goal was to help promote the addiction treatment services they offer. MGMT Digital collaborated with Sequoia MD to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy as the clinic expanded its presence and patient outreach.

01THE CLIENT

Sequoia MD is a medical practice located in Sacramento, California, offering primary care and addiction treatment services. Instead of taking insurance, Sequoia MD offers a subscription-based model to their patients.Their services include, but are not limited to, transgender care, diabetes management, medication-assisted addiction treatment, and all primary care needs. Their team prides themselves on being different from most doctor’s offices through the care and attention that they offer. They really get to know every single one of their patients, building relationships that help the care they provide be more effective, comfortable, and personable.

02THE CHALLENGE

Sequoia MD had previously partnered with an agency outside of the healthcare marketing sphere. When they switched to us, they were looking to get much more traction to their addiction treatment services, as well as grow the business in general. When we started working together, Sequoia MD had an outdated website that was not targeting the correct keywords and content that needed revamping. The content did not make it clear why someone would choose Sequoia MD over competitors and what it was exactly that their doctors offered. Not only did Sequoia MD need a new marketing strategy, they also needed their identity to stand out.

03THE SOLUTION

The MGMT Digital team redesigned Sequoia MD’s website with the main goal of helping the clinic to stand out. What makes Sequoia MD different (relationship-based, direct care, and more) is infused in the design. We lengthened and rewrote content across the website to make these points clear, and to better target Sacramento keywords. Our initial main focus on the SEO side was helping the addiction treatment pages to rank. We focused on publishing pages that target each type of care and addiction that Sequoia provides, while building high-quality backlinks to these pages. We also put a large focus on the Google Business Profile, optimizing the profile and posting on it on a consistent basis. We did a competitor analysis of other doctor’s offices in the local area and incorporated what we found was working for them into our strategy. Our branding and social media team developed a strong social media strategy, a monthly newsletter, and ways for people to sign up to receive more content from Sequoia MD. We also developed achievable KPI’s to keep ourselves accountable month over months and quarter over quarter.
