End of Year Wrap-Up: Change is Inevitable – Embrace It

2024 has undoubtedly been the most challenging of my eight years as CEO of MGMT Digital. I’ve faced more obstacles and moments of self-doubt, insecurity, and fear than ever before. As CEO, I’ve always felt the pressure to appear as though I have it all figured out — to be the one with all the answers. But this year taught me something invaluable: even when you’ve successfully navigated from “Point A” to “Point B,” reaching “Point C” requires a whole new set of skills. And getting there is rarely a smooth ride.

It’s interesting how what initially feels like a setback can later reveal itself as an opportunity for growth. This year certainly tested me, but instead of succumbing to negative thought patterns, I focused on learning, listening, and taking action. The start of 2024 looks nothing like its end, and rather than describing it as a “wild ride,” I prefer to think of it as a year of personal and professional growth.

I am incredibly grateful for the original MGMT Digital team (shout out to Anna, Nick, and Marta). No matter the challenge, we stuck together and supported one another. Nicole Burson, our Director of Marketing, played a pivotal role in ensuring that both our clients and our team were well taken care of throughout each transition.  At times, she became my soundboard, offering solid advice when making key decisions and choosing the right direction. I also brought on Jake Gorman as a partner and COO. Jake is the epitome of a COO — up at 5 AM, ready to tackle the day, and an invaluable asset to our operations and workflow.

A key takeaway from this year: There are people in your corner with unique strengths and skills — so let them use them. Lean on them, and allow them to lean on you. I don’t have all the answers, but together, we have all the solutions.

In 2024, we doubled the size of our team. With external growth comes internal growth, and I’m proud to say that our new team members have seamlessly integrated into our culture, helping us become a dynamic, well-connected powerhouse. I am incredibly proud of what they’ve contributed and the energy they bring to the company (shout out to Hayley, Nicole L, Abigail, Ava, Summer, and Rawan). We focused on solidifying each department, ensuring we are a well-rounded, full-service agency where every aspect of our work is overseen by experts in their field.

At the heart of MGMT Digital has always been a commitment to client relations and retention. We continuously ask ourselves: How do we grow while staying true to who we are? How do we ensure we’re providing the best service to our clients? How do we maintain and expand the quality of our work? These questions guide everything we do and are always at the forefront of our minds. The answers to them shape how we operate, day in and day out.

So where do we go from here? Here are some goals we set for 2025:

  • Launch our new website in January
  • Enhance our benefits package to better support and care for our team
  • Introduce our new and improved reporting system
  • Continue exceeding client expectations while forming long-term partnerships with new clients
  • Strategically expand our departments to support our goals
  • Provide opportunities for guest speakers to contribute their perspectives on our industry
  • Find more opportunities to connect in person as a team, in addition to our annual retreat
  • Attend a new behavioral healthcare conference to stay ahead of industry trends

When I think about the future of MGMT Digital, my vision remains clear: I want us to be the leading, most ethically-driven marketing agency within the behavioral healthcare industry. Eight years in, and that mission hasn’t changed. And that’s something I’m incredibly proud of. With this team, I know we are achieving this every day. At the end of the day, I’m embracing the journey — and I couldn’t be more grateful for where it’s taking us.

Here’s to 2025!
